Impact on Education
Mission Leverage community resources to increase student achievement, create opportunities, and build support for public education. Since 1983, Impact on Education has been an independent, non profit, 501 (3) (c) organization dedicated to promoting excellence, improving equity, and encouraging innovation in Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). We focus our support and advocacy efforts on:
- “At-risk” Students Many students need help overcoming economic and learning barriers that curtail success.
- Science, Technology, & Math To be successful in our increasingly global marketplace, students must develop stronger competencies in these three subjects.
- Teaching Excellence Research consistently shows that student learning is most strongly correlated with excellent teachers.
Programs Impact on Education supports programs that improve student achievement using innovative, creative technologies & strategies. Through our partnerships with schools, teachers, students, parents, & the community, we are able to solicit crucially needed resources to reduce inequities, & maximize learning opportunities for all Boulder Valley students. Partnerships We build bridges between our students, our schools and the community. Impact on Education helps connect the talents and resources of our community, parents, businesses and nonprofit organizations with the educational interests of children and schools. Advocacy We solicit the crucially needed resources to bridge budget disparities, reduce inequities, and create opportunities for students. We are enthusiastic advocates for strong societal support of public education and, where appropriate, support public policy initiatives that benefit the Boulder Valley School District.
