Nancy Fitzgerald began playing piano and singing at 3 years old, and after many years of piano lessons and choir participation, she attended the University of Utah and Ft. Lewis College where she studied piano, receiving her BA degree in piano performance in 1978. After college, she was a marketing professional for a large airline for several years, but left the corporate world in favor of music. For the past 20 years she has taught piano full time in Boulder and Superior while also accompanying choirs at Platt Middle School and the Jubilate Sacred Singers, of which she was a member. Although she enjoyed the spotlight of singing solo on stage at Carnegie hall in 2007, she finds the fun of everyday musical experiences equally exciting: teaching students of all ages, composing music, playing keyboard, and singing in a local blues band. Nancy has 2 daughters, Kristin, a 3rd year law school student, and Kelly, also a musician, and a recent graduate of Fairview High School now heading for CU, Boulder.
