Dina Bodaubay started playing piano at the age of 4 in Almaty Kazakhstan. Later, she graduated from the special Music College for Gifted Children in Almaty. During her study there, she became a Laureate of Republic Baiseitova Competitions.

In 1992 Ms. Bodaubay was the only pianist from Central Asia to be selected to participate in the International Piano competition in Ettlingen, Germany, where she received Urkunde (Diploma). In 1994 she took part in master classes and concerts at the French Piano Institute in Paris at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. There she performed with famous French pianists and composers – including Henry Dutilleux, Roger Muraro, Dominique Merlet, and others. In 1996 she completed her studies at Almaty Conservatory, graduating with Honors.

Later in 1996 Ms Bodaubay received a Presidential Scholarship to study in the United States and in 1998 she completed her Master’s of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Sergei Babayan. During her time in Cleveland she was a member of the New Piano Ensemble and performed works of contemporary composers. Also in 1998 Dina served on the faculty of Almaty Conservatory.

In 1999 Ms. Bodaubay received a Graduate Assistantship at the University of Colorado at Boulder and started her Doctorate degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, which she then completed in December of 2005.

Dina Bodaubay’s past performances include: concerts in the US, Germany, France and Kazakhstan, appearances with the Kazakh Symphony Orchestra, Boulder Chamber Orchestra and various chamber ensembles, performances at the American Embassy in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and on National Television, as well as concerts with her sister - violinist, Yenlik Bodaubay.

Ms. Bodaubay has been a recipient of a number of grants and scholarships. In 2007-2008 she served as a Cultural Specialist at the US Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan.

From 2009 to present, Ms. Bodaubay has been on the faculty of the University of Colorado in Denver Colorado.  Also in 2011-2013 she has taught at the International College in Beijing, China.
