Instruction at Dana Vachharajani Music
At Dana Vachharajani Music (DVM), students receive quality instruction by highly qualified professionals. Above all, students will take lessons in a very positive environment. We start teaching lessons to children as young as 5 years of age and have no limit to how old we go. Music lasts a lifetime, so why set limits?
Recitals of Relevance and Performance Opportunities:
During lessons, students will learn healthy technique based on their natural talents. Musical expression of varied styles and languages is encouraged and explored as students move forward in lessons.
It is very important that students become musically literate, which is why we take time during lessons to teach basic music theory and progress to higher levels with time.
We want our students to feel confident and moved to explore more of their musical art. Students are encouraged to not only learn music that we choose, but to also bring music that excites them. All teachers are educated and well equipped to nurture musical theater, classical, jazz, folk and contemporary styles of music. Have fun and explore all genres!

Vocal and Instrumental Instruction
We believe in learning through performance, but do not require our students until they feel ready. All of our students are given recommendations and advice about performance and competitions through the many programs that we are affiliated with.
One program we are extremely proud of is Recitals of Relevance. Two times per year, we have our students sign up to present a piece to be performed in Recitals as outreach to members of our Local and Senior Communities. Last year, we presented recitals to The Louisville Farmers' Market, Golden West Senior Living, Flatirons Terrace, The Art Underground and The Lodge at Balfour. For some, this is a student's first presentation in public! Our students performances are received with so much love and support. We outreach through our music and will continue to find positive performance opportunities for our students.
