Kelsey Kaisershot is a Colorado native, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance and teaching certification from CU Boulder. During her time at CU, she performed on stage as well as having assistant directed three shows with the theatre faculty. Kelsey has worked with the CU Fringe Festival as a writer and director of her musical, Criminal Minds. She completed her directing and education internship with Omaha Community Players in Omaha, Nebraska. Her previous acting credits include: The Importance of Being Earnest and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with The Wit Theatre Company, as well as The Play About The Baby with Germinal Stage Denver.
As an educator, she previously taught and directed with Monarch High School and Northglenn Youth Theatre. While at Monarch High School, she directed and produced their spring musical Beauty and the Beast, which was one of the school’s most acclaimed and financially successful productions to date. Outside of these institutions, Kelsey was selected to create the first BVSD District Show Initiative. In this program, she directed selected students from BVSD high schools in a production of Almost, Maine. Throughout the years she has been called on to coach students in creating roles for productions as well as preparing them for competitions like the Colorado Thespian Convention and the International Thespian Conference. Coaching, empowering and guiding young actors is her true passion.
