After high school, I knew I wanted to continue my passion for music. Currently, I am working closely with the Music and Entertainment Industry department at my school. This section of the university manages different music events. Recently, they had their 9th annual music business seminar. The guest speakers were various successful professionals in the music industry. People like JJ Italino-U.S.

head of label services of Spotify, Tony Mason-head talent buyer of Larimer Lounge and Lost Lake, Shawn King-Colorado music ambassador, and more! The guest speakers talked about personal experience, how to advocate for yourself, and job opportunities. I am fortunate to be part of a creative community at The University of Colorado Denver and continue learning about music.

What does Dana V. Music mean to you?

Dana V. Music gave me the opportunity to explore my music on a higher level. Though the schools innovated and compassionate teaching skills I could experience the joys of music. Dana V. Music not only challenges students to think creatively but they also support growth in developing skills. The most memorable thing about the music school is the professional and warm community they provide. The values and mission of Dana V. Music still make an impression on me today.
