Youth Eurhythmics

Theory Class at Dana V Music Have a child that just can't stop moving; that loves music? Eurhythmics uses rhythmic movement, active listening, and improvisation to allow a student to become a well-rounded and creative musician. The study of Eurhythmics trains the body in dynamics, articulation, phrasing and form. Solfeggio (ear training) will also be used in this class to train the ear, eye and voice and teach melody and harmony.

Pre-Instrumental Eurhythmics

Eurhythmics is an experiential method in which to learn music through movement. In this course, students will learn the early fundamentals necessary to play an instrument. Each student will be provided with his or her own xylophone with which to learn rhythm, pitch and musical expression in an interactive setting. This class will also teach responsibility and care for each student's new instrument in a very playful environment.

Prerequisites: Optional to purchase Matallophone for an additional $27.

Music Theory/Eurhythmics

This class will consist of joining Music Theory with Eurhythmics. It will strike a great balance between music academics and fun! Students will take a 30-minute class of music theory and then a fun 30 minute class of Eurhythmics. Eurhythmics is the study of learning music in an organic and experiential way through movement of the body, social interaction, and the spirit of play.

College Prep Theory/Eurhythmics

Want to be well rounded musician? Music Theory combined with Eurhythmics is a way to bridge a very important gap in music education and performance. This course is taught in the same model as theory classes at the University level and will allow students to explore the structure of music through one 45-minute Theory Class, followed by a 45-minute Eurhythmics class. Topics on phrasing, structure, intervals, ear training, rhythm, and basic keyboard application will be taught. Instrumentalists, singers, and composition students will find this class a perfect opportunity to advance to an All-State, competitive, or University level of musicianship.
