Class Descriptions
Beginning Keyboard Fundamentals, Level 1
This is an introduction to keyboard music for those children who are not yet ready for the structure of private lessons. As they progress, students will learn to play songs by ear, finger number, letter, and note, while exploring the many possibilities of making music on the keyboard.
Prerequisites: Children must be able to recognize letters A through G, know numbers 1 through 5, and right from left in order to enroll in this class.
Beginning Keyboard Fundamentals, Level 2
For students who have completed Keyboarding: Level 1, or have similar prior keyboard experience. This course will review the concepts learned in Level 1 and build on these skills for continued study of piano and music theory.
Prerequisites: Children must be able to recognize letters A through G, know numbers 1 through 5, and right from left in order to enroll in this class.
Adult Keyboarding
Have a child in piano lessons and want to be able to help with practice? Want to learn how to navigate a keyboard? Interested in brushing up your piano skills? This class is for adults and high-schoolers who are new to piano or those who would like to study again after time off. Also a great class for singers who would like to work on their piano skills!
