Dana V Music Presents: A Little Princess
Last summer, DVM produced a concert version of the musical Next to Normal as a fundraiser for our Key
Players scholarship program. The production was a huge success, and we are now hoping to make this an
This summer, we have chosen to produce A Little Princess, by Andrew Lippa and Brian Crawley. This wonderful show is based on the 1905 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and includes a cast of featured adults, teenagers, and children, as well as a large adult ensemble and children’s ensemble. A Little Princess will be directed by Tracy Warren, with musical direction by Dana Vachharajani, Katie McClave,and Alex Vittal.
This will be a studio-wide event, with all current students, alumni, and teachers in the DVM family invited to participate. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to scholarships for students to study at Dana V. Music.
Auditions for select featured roles will be held on Saturday, April 13.
Rehearsals will be held at Dana V. Music on Monday and Tuesday evenings, from May 13 through June 18. Performances of A Little Princess are scheduled for June 24 & 25.
